Large Vintage French Zinc Fishing Creel Bait Bucket & Original Shoulder Strap

Found in northern France near the Brittany coast, a charming vintage (circa 1930s)
"kidney bean-shaped" fishing creel, bait carrier in very good overall condition, with just minimal signs of usage but no bruises/dents. The woven strap, which is original to the piece, has some wear due to age and lots of use. Interior is watertight. Lovely dark patina earned with the years. Note the
handle near the top; an uncommon feature most likely designed to move the creel
around when at a fishing spot or in a boat, and to help when taking out or putting back the lid. The lid has the usual air holes and handle; holes for fresh air.
Measures 11.5 inches tall overall; 12.5 inches by 5.75 inches at the base. Measure 7.25 inches by 4 inches at the top of the creel. Very sturdy! Highly collectible. Great gift for the fisherman.
