    1964 Guild S-50 Jetstar Solid-Body Guitar
    The S-50 Jetstar debuted in 1963 as the single-coil pickup addition to Guild's S-series lineup with the popular, and now highly collectable, S-200 Thunderbird and S-100 Polara twin-pickup models. The Jetstar quickly became known as the "easy-action solid-body", initially sought after by teachers and students for both lead and rhythm playing before becoming more widely accepted and Guild's best selling solid-body model in 1964.
    This survivor of Rock 'n' Roll times past has a true classic feel with Guild's, then experimental and now legendary, "fast-action" neck and authentic sound using the original and same "frequency-tested" humbucking pickup as on the S-100 Polara. The Guild S-series lasting success is evident by the re-issued models first introduced in the '70's and still available today. This survivor is the real-deal, professionally set-up and ready to perform. A few seasoned players refer to this guitar as a "gem".
    Condition:
    in very good playing condition with minimum wear for an instrument nearly 60-years old. Mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and frets are in very good condition. The original mahogany finish has various nicks, dings, dents & scuffs; and a couple extra holes by the bridge. Perhaps an aftermarket vibrato at some point. Original electronics are fully functional and in good working order. It is not uncommon after decades for guitar necks to curve under pressure, this one is straight and stays in tune.
